Before you choose

What to knowbefore you pick a day.

Every excursion page carries its own hours, days of operation, price and what to bring. These are the questions that come up first.

Are the prices shown the final price?

The figures on each page are the current per-person rates for the standard version of that excursion. Group size, a hotel outside the usual pickup area or a variant of the tour can move it, so the price we send you on WhatsApp is the one that stands.

Do children pay the same as adults?

On most excursions children pay half. The exact figure and the age range are written on each excursion page, next to the adult price.

How far in advance should I book?

A day or two is usually enough. Book earlier for the excursions that run on fixed days — Safari Playa Rincón and the Samaná city tour — and for the whale season, when the boats fill up.

Where does the day start?

At the door where you are sleeping. Pickups cover Las Terrenas, El Portillo, Playa Bonita, Cosón and Samaná city, and we confirm the hour when we confirm the excursion.

What is included, and what should I bring?

Each excursion page lists it in full: what the price covers, what it leaves out, what to bring and any restriction that applies. Read that block before you decide and the day holds no surprises.

What if I have to cancel?

More than 48 hours before the excursion you get 90% back; the 10% covers the bank charges on the payment and on the refund. Between 24 and 48 hours it is 50%. If we call the day off for weather or sea, you choose between a full refund and the same excursion on another date. Read the policy.
